Siouxland Libraries Author Fair Recap

The first annual Siouxland Libraries Author Fair was a success! At least from my perspective. I guess you’ll have to ask the Siouxland Libraries their opinion of the event. Here’s my brief recap. Story told through pictures.

Siouxland Author Fair Table
My secret weapons are mini Reese’s and sill cat stickers. Oh, and high-quality literature.

Seriously. Cat stickers are a hit. Who doesn’t like cat stickers?

Siouxland Libraries Author Fair – Navigation Publishing Panel

I was inviting to speak on a panel about “navigating book publishing”. The panel had a mix experience and varied genre expertise. We offered our thoughts on book covers, marketing, pros and cons of self-publishing vs traditional publishing and if (when) the A.I. robots were going to take our jobs, if not destroy humanity altogether. It was an honor to share the stage/panel with these amazing authors and artists:

Hector Curriel – artist, illustrator and cartoonist. Author of the graphic novel “American Ace: Joe Foss, Fighter Pilot”

Amy Daws – wildly successful and prolific (23 books!) romance author

Mary Winters – author of historical mysteries and cozy mysteries (under the pen name Mary Angela)

I was trying to convince my fellow panelists that I too was an expert because I published a book one time.

Thank you, Siouxland Libraries, for the awesome event and opportunity!
