I’m attempting to read 100 books this year.
For my own tracking, I use a simple Google Sheets tracker with:
- A simple reading log (title, author, date finished)
- Automatic running total of books read
- A progress chart showing ideal pace vs actual progress
- Built for Google Sheets (copy it, don’t request access)
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys spreadsheets, charts, and data, you might like it too.

This is a free reading tracker template you can copy and use in Google Sheets.
It works for year-long reading challenges, 52-book goals, or more ambitious projects, like mine! You log books as you finish them, and the progress updates automatically. Simple, visual, and very Googly. (Because Google still runs the Internet.)

No signup. No email required. Use it, modify it, abandon it in July. I won’t know.
You’re welcome.
Who is this for?
People doing a yearly reading challenge who like charts, progress bars, and pretending spreadsheets are fun.
